The New Orleans Saints did not wrap up their 2010 season in the manner in which they had hoped, losing at home to division rival Tampa Bay 23-13. However, the defending Super Bowl Champions are back in the post-season with an 11-5 record. The Saints, as the fifth seed, will travel to Seattle this Saturday to take on the NFC West Champion Seahawks; they are listed as a -10.5 point favorite to win that Wild Card game. New Orleans rode the NFL's best offense a 
season ago to a 13-3 record and home field advantage throughout the NFC Playoffs. The Saints averaged league bests 403.8 yards and 31.9 points per game as Drew Brees threw for 4388 yards, 34 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in route to a 109.6 passer rating.
Things did not go as well for New Orleans this season, but its offense still posted 372.4 yards and 24 points per game. The drop off was reflected in the team's record, which featured two more losses than a season ago.
Despite the decline, not a single NFC playoff team is anxious to square off against Brees and company. At +1000 NFL Odds, the only NFC team viewed more favorably to win the 2011 Super Bowl than the Saints is the Atlanta Falcons (+500).

Now a seasoned champion, New Orleans might hold a psychological advantage over the entire NFC playoff field; however, in order to repeat, the Saints will have to win on the road, something that it did not have to worry about last January. New Orleans, it should be noted, has never won a playoff road game.
