The Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers will take the field at Cowboys Stadium on Sunday as this year's Super Bowl participants. Odds makers listed Green Bay as the early favorite and the Packers are still being viewed as the team to beat. The latest Odds to win 2011 Super Bowl have Mike McCarthy's squad listed as a -2.5 against the spread front runner. The game total is set at 44.5.
Since the year 2000 the Super Bowl, for 
the most part, has provided fans with an entertaining brand of football. Granted, there are a few dogs in the bunch (i.e. Baltimore/New York, Tampa Bay Oakland), but compared to the 1990's, the past 11 years have been otherworldy.
The past few years have, arguably, featured the best championship contests ever with the Giants 17-14 upset of the Patriots in Super Bowl XLII and the Steelers 27-23 win over the Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII. The Rams 23-16 win over the Titans in Super Bowl XXXIV and the Patriots upset of St. Louis in Super Bowl XXXVI also rank high on the drama meter.
That brings us to this weekend's game, which has every opportunity to join those games as one of the greatest of all time. Neither Pittsburgh or Green Bay has shown a propensity to disappoint this season, despite their 10 combined setbacks.
All six of Green Bay's losses have been by four points or less and two of them came in overtime. Pittsburgh owns double digit losses to New Orleans and New England, but its other two setbacks were by a combined eight points.
The Steelers have also won eight of their last nine games, and enter Sunday's game with just as much momentum as the Packers, who have reeled off five straight victories.
Barring a turnover fest, which seems unlikely given the track record of these two squads (Green Bay +10 TO Margin, Pittsburgh +17 TO Margin), or a significant injury, Sunday's game should provide some incredible entertainment.
