After surrendering on Wednesday, the former Tennessee Titan was released on $1,000 bond.

His maximum punishment is up to 6 months in jail and/or up to $500 on the reckless driving charge and up to 30 days in jail and/or $50 fine for the expired registration charge.

The indictment stems from a December 13, 2008 incident, where Haynesworth tried to pass another driver, causing him to crash into a concrete median.Haynesworth is scheduled to appear in court for an arraignment on March 30th at Williamson Circuit Court in Franklin, Tennessee.

It has also been reported that the other driver, Corey Edmondson, has needed a hip replacement since the accident, and allegedly he’s “unable to move except with a walker or in a wheelchair,” said his attorney, Jon Perry. “I am not surprised at all by the indictment,” Perry stated. “This accident could have very easily killed Corey.”
