Jets WR Santonio Holmes Suspended for Substance Abuse? Shortly after finding out that the Pittsburgh Steelers have traded him away basically for peanuts, Santonio Holmes received some more bad news. According to confirmed reports, the National Football League has suspended Holmes for the first four games of the season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy, and will not make his New York Jet debut until Week 5 of the 2010 season.
“I was very shocked at first,” Holmes said. “But, I knew it definitely opened up a lot more doors and a better

But, with that said, we just felt like the risk and the price was reasonable for us.”
