The Jacksonville Jaguars just made Maurice Jones-Drew one of the richest running backs in NFL history when they signed him to a $31-million contract on Wednesday. Jones-Drew was selected by the Jaguars in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft.
Jones-Drew exhibited his value by excelling as a runner, returner and receiver in his three years of service to the team. He averaged 83.8 yards from scrimmage and 127.7 all-purpose yards per game and scored 40 touchdowns, 34 of them rushing. He ranks second in touchdowns scored in the NFL from 2006-08.

He is the only running back in team history to record a 100-yard receiving game as he finished with nine receptions for 113 yards against Minnesota on December 23, 2008.
