Redskins WR Santana Moss Among NFL Players Who Got HGH from Dr Antony Galea? Developments in the arrest of Canadian Doctor Anthony Galea continue to leak out, as we now know the name of one of the three unnamed NFL players that testified to have received human growth hormone. According to the Washington Post, Redskins receiver Santana Moss is among the athletes who received HGH from Dr. Galea, who is accused of drug smuggling conspiracy, lying to federal agents, unlawful distribution of human growth hormone and introducing an unapproved drug into interstate commerce.

Moss is rehabilitating his lefty knee after undergoing minor surgery this offseason. Nevertheless, the former University of Miami standout wasn’t about to discuss any of the reports at Redskins Park on Wednesday.

“I'll talk about football. I don't know about nothing else,” Moss stated. “I ain't got nothing to do with nothing that ain't about me.”

According to The Buffalo News, prosecutors running this case have no intentions of filing criminal charges against any of the athletes involved, including Moss. Moss wasn’t the only Redskin member that refused to discuss this matter publicly.

“This is an off-the-field matter,” Redskins senior vice president Tony Wyllie said. “I'm going to refer all questions to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus.”

The National Football League might have something to say in this matter, as HGH is among its banned substances, although testing isn’t enforced at the present time. Nevertheless, NFL players are subjected to punishment if they are known to have violated the league’s anti-drug policy.

“Officials of the NFL and other sports organizations can sleep soundly tonight, because there is nothing he did with these athletes to help them with performance enhancement,” Buffalo lawyer Mark J. Mahoney said of Galea. “(He) strictly provided treatment for injuries. If any athlete got (HGH), it was injected directly into injured tissue, in very small amounts, for purposes of healing.”
