While few feel that there is the next Tom Brady or Peyton Manning in this years NFL draft class, Chicago, Baltimore, Atlanta and Green Bay are all in desperate need of landing a quarterback. The most highly touted QB in this year’s draft is Boston College QB Matt Ryan who has been likened to New Orleans prolific passer Drew Brees. The 6'4" 222 Lb. Ryan is a natural leader that is cool under pressure with great passing technique and experience running a pro style offense. The questions about Ryan have been his arm strength, mobility and inconsistency. Some teams have Louisville’s Brian Brohm projected to be even better than Ryan because of his laser accuracy and ability to read defenses. The 6'3" 232 Lb. Brohm has an above-average arm with great timing but little experience playing in a pro style offense. The sleeper of the QB class is big 6'6" 240 Lb. Delaware QB Joe Flacco.cond round. Flacco is the best athlete of the top QB prospects with his rocket arm, quick release and dedication to learning his craft. While Flacco hasn’t competed against top-level competition in the college ranks, he could be a steal for any team if he slips down to the second round.
