With draft day upon us there have already been three big name players that have been dealt before the draft has even begun. Jared Allen, Pacman Jones and Dewayne Robertson all have been sent to new teams. Be assured there are more deals to come. It has been made openly public that the Miami Dolphins are trying to shop 33-year old stud defensive end Jason Taylor in an attempt to bolster last year’s 1-15 squad with some young horses. No matter who picks up Taylor they will get a leader and warrior that still plays at a high level. The Cleveland Browns recently signed QB Derek Anderson to a 3-year deal after a breakout season that showed off his big-time ability making last year’s #1 pick, backup QB Brady Quinn very expendable. The Browns are confident with Anderson and paying Quinn his huge contract to ride the pine doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Third is a no brainer in outspoken Bengals playmaker All-Pro wide reciever Chad Johnson. Some have felt that Johnson has been a distraction to the team with his outlandish antics and Johnson has publicly demanded to be traded. While Johnson hasn’t been a great fit for the Bengals he is still a legit top-5 wideout that can make an instant impact for any team. This year's draft has only a moderate amount of talent in comparison to other drafts and there are some teams out there that are in the we need to win right now mentality so sacraficing young talent is a viable option. Brady Quinn was regarded as a top talent last year so he might not make an immediate impact for a team but both Jason Taylor and Chad Johnson will make an instant difference for teams looking for intsant gratifacation.
