New York Jets Kerry Rhodes Accused of Rape: For some reason, NFL players always find themselves having to defend their reputation as troublemakers, especially during the NFL offseason.
Needless to say this won’t help their cause, as New York Jets ’ safety Kerry Rhodes is now being accused of raping a woman at his New Jersey home.
According to reports, New Jersey police are currently investigating a woman’s claim that two men raped her while at the NFL player’s home in Morristown, N.J.
On the Monday edition of The New York Post, the woman, a Canadian tourist, said she met Rhodes and another man at a Manhattan (NYC) nightclub before being taken to Rhodes’ town house in Morristown, N.J.
In a statement released by a New York Jets spokesperson, Rhodes said he was not one of the accused.
"I briefly talked with police on Saturday regarding an incident that allegedly took place at my home. The police confirmed to me that I am not the subject of this allegation."
According to Morristown Police Lt. David Ackerman the rape claim is being investigated, but declined further comment.
Meanwhile, the Jets organization stated that they also "gathering information," on the case, this according to the Post.
