College Football Predictions Virginia Tech Hokies ACC Preview 2008: According to the 2008 betting odds, the Virginia Tech Hokies and the Clemson Tigers are the best two teams in the ACC Conference in 2008. At BetUS.com the Virginia Tech Hokies’ betting odds to win the BCS Championship game in 2009 are +1400

After finishing last season with a dominating 11-3 (7-1) record head coach, Frank Beamer, will look to continue his winning ways at V-Tech (167-85-2). The Virginia Tech Hokies’ betting odds to win the ACC Conference in 2008 are +250.

The Hokies have the tough task of replacing a lot of key players that they lost after last season.

The solid defense that they enjoyed last season will need serious scouting, which is something V-Tech is known for: building great defensive teams.

With QBs Sean Glennon and Tyrod Taylor, sharing playing time, VT will be just fine at that position.

However, there are other positions that might raise some concerns for VT. Freshmen RBs, Darren Evans and Josh Oglesby, will have to step up this season for the Hokies, after the departure of RB Brandon Ore.

The Virginia Tech Hokies finished last season on a bit of a sour note, as the lost 21-24 against Kansas in the Orange Bowl down in Miami, FL.
