Brett Favre to be Traded Under NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell’s Watch: According to various news reports, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has taken on the role of intermediary between the Green Bay Packers and Brett Favre. Can you predict which NFL player will have the most passing yards in the upcoming 2008-2009 NFL Regular Season? BetOnline.com has the answer.

Goodell decided that he wanted to help ease the situation, which in his opinion has brought a lot of negative attention to the NFL.

Goodell has reportedly spoken to Ted Thompson, Green Bay Packers general manager, to try and survey any teams that may be interested in the popular trade so that the problem could be resolved as quickly as possible.

If Favre indeed leaves, the Green Bay Packers’ QB Aaron Rogers’ betting odds to have the most passing yards in the upcoming 2008-2009 NFL regular season are highly unlikely at +4,000.

Since the Packers seem to want to continue with their idea of moving forward with Aaron Rodgers as their starter, a trade could possibly just be the solution. Emerging as the top contender for this possible trade is Tampa Bay. The New England Patriots’ QB Tom Brady leads the pack with the best betting odds to have the most passing yards for the 2008-2009 regular season at +175

Even though Tampa Bay officials have publicly downsized their interest in trading for Favre, Buccaneers quarterback Chris Simms, told the St. Petersburg Times that Bucs general manager Bruce Allen asked him about Favre last week. QB Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints has the second best betting odds to have the most passing yards in the 2008-2009 NFL regular season: +250.

"He asked if I felt Brett would be able to come back and be good here if he didn't have a lot of reps in training camp," Simms said, according to the paper. "I said I thought he would but there would have to be some compromise with coach (Jon) Gruden. He'll just want the play called and to drop back and throw it in there. But it's something we talked about."

Here are other notable players with great betting odds to have the most passing yards in the upcoming 2008-2009 NFL regular season:

Peyton Manning (COLTS): +300

Tony Romo (COWBOYS): +600

Carson Palmer (BENGALS): +900
