Duke Blue Devils ACC Preview 2008 College Football Predictions: By far, the worse team in the Atlantic Coast Conference last season was Duke. However, there’s some excitement in the air after the hiring of head coach, David Cutcliffe (44-29 overall). The good news for Cutcliffe, is that with last year’s team only able to muster 1 win all season long (1-11, 0-8). Therefore, Cutcliffe is bound to top that in 2008. SportsBook.com has the best Duke Blue Devils 2008 Atlantic Coast Conference betting odds.

With 0 wins last season against ACC teams, this year’s betting odds to win the conference are obviously dim.

At SportsBook.com the Duke Blue Devils’ betting odds to win the Atlantic Coast Conference in 2008 are 75 - 1.

QB Thaddeus Lewis, who last season threw for a team leading 2,430 yards, will have the opportunity at a fresh start with a new offensive scheme.

The junior QB has gained experienced after two disastrous seasons at Duke on what not to do. Surprisingly, Lewis does posses respectable arm strength and good accuracy. He will certainly be the key to the success of this offense in 2008.

Duke’s defense ranked 92nd in the nation and dead last in the ACC. They do however have most of those players returning to the program a bit more experienced.
