Will Brett Favre Return Before 2010 NFL Preseason Week 1?

by Abe Luciano on Thursday, July 29th, 2010

Will Brett Favre Return Before 2010 NFL Preseason Week 1? Brett Favre is at it again for a third summer in a row, leaving fans and teams waiting for him to decide if he will return or not. Many have become tired of the waiting and anticipation game, including his agent, Bus Cook. Cook apparently let off some steam to Men’s Journal, after finding out that Favre had contacted Ed Warner from ESPN and telling him that he will need ankle surgery to play in the upcoming season.

Will Brett Favre Return Before 2010 NFL Preseason Week 1?"Now why did he do that," Cook said. "…Goddammit, why does he have to be such a goddamned drama queen? Play, don't play, goddamn, people are getting sick of it. I'm getting sick of it!…You got problems with surgery, talk to your wife. Why talk to goddamned Ed Werder?"

Many are leaning more towards believing that Favre will return to the Vikings. With a team that went 12-4 last season, why wouldn’t he? According to ESPN, Brad Childress, Vikings head coach, visited Favre in Mississippi this past weekend. But when Childress was asked about the reason of the visit, he shortly answered: "You can fill in the blanks."

In his latest public appearance at the ESPY’s, the veteran quarter back said that his return would be based on his ankle. Training camp will start on July 30th for the Vikings, but based on prior experiences, Favre will probably not make a decision any time soon.
