Brett Favre Leaves Green Bay Packers Camp: Just before Tuesday’s 3 PM ET practice, Brett Favre exited Lambeau Field in a red Cadillac Escalade SUV. Reportedly, another meeting will be held between the reinstated QB and the Packers to discuss trade possibilities. Favre exited the Lambeau Field gates at approximately 2:30 PM ET. Soon thereafter, GM Ted Thompson also left the Packers facility, and headed in the same direction Favre did.
Both sides have been meeting around the clock since yesterday evening (for 5 hours), to try to find a peaceful resolution to the ongoing saga.
It is evident now, more than ever that, there will be no such thing as a passive accord between the two sides. Everything has gone too far to turn around.
Apparently, Brett had been told by the organization that regardless of what happened in open QB competitions, Favre would be Aaron Rogers’ backup, no matter what.
The speculation that Favre will be traded out of Green Bay is more imminent now. However, the Packers refuse to grant Favre his wish to be traded to the Minnesota Vikings. Thus, Whatever does end up happening, one thing is certain, there will be no happy endings in this one.
Head coach Mike McCarthy has a scheduled press conference to address the media and answer questions at 6 PM ET, and can be seen on ESPN NEWS.
