Brett Favre Traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? ESPN has now reported that Brett Favre has committed to considering a trade to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a request by the Green Bay Packers. Brett Favre has been very clear as to what teams he wishes to play for: The Minnesota Vikings or the Chicago Bears.
Meanwhile, the Packers have been very vocal about not giving in to Favre’s trade requests of being dealt to an NFC North divisional rival. At SportsBook.com betting odds for “Games of the Year” are now available.
If Favre is indeed finally traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, this would make the Bucs that much better of a team in the upcoming 2008-2009 NFL regular season.
And if so, you might want to circle September 28th 2008 on your calendar, as the Green Bay Packers travel to North Florida to take on coach Gruden and possibly Brett Favre running the show.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are -3 betting favorites to beat the Green Bay Packers (+3) by a field goal in their September 28th showdown at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay Florida.
As of now, John Gruden is known for being a little bit of a QB-crazy coach. Hence, he has plenty of depth at the QB spot: Jeff Garcia (1st string), Luke McCown (2nd string), Brian Griese, Chris Simms, and Josh Johnson.
Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy is scheduled to adress the media, and Q & A starting at 6 PM ET on ESPN NEWS.
