On Sunday, head coach Jim Zorn told the media that “it looks like there is no ligament damage… so we’re going to see what kind of a healer he is going to be.”

Taylor, who currently has a streak of 130 consecutive starts, might very well miss the September 4th opener against the defending Super Bowl champion, New York Giants.

According to coach Zorn, one thing that is certain, is that Taylor will “definitely” miss Thursday night’s preseason finale against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The ex-Miami Dolphin suffered the injury in the second quarter, when his (right) leg appeared to get tangled in a pile of players. The betting odds (ML) that the Washington Redskins will win OVER 7½ in the 2008-2009 NFL regular season is -125.
