Washington Redskins DE Jason Taylor Out 10-14 Days: In Saturday’s preseason game against the Carolina Panthers, newly acquired DE Jason Taylor couldn’t dance his way out of a knee injury. The former “Dancing with the Stars” performer suffered a sprain right knee, and will be sidelined for a period of 10 to 14 days. In the upcoming 2008-2009 NFL regular season, will the Washington Redskins win OVER or UNDER 7½ games total? Check out SBGglobal.com for your answer.

On Sunday, head coach Jim Zorn told the media that “it looks like there is no ligament damage… so we’re going to see what kind of a healer he is going to be.”

Taylor, who currently has a streak of 130 consecutive starts, might very well miss the September 4th opener against the defending Super Bowl champion, New York Giants.

According to coach Zorn, one thing that is certain, is that Taylor will “definitely” miss Thursday night’s preseason finale against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The ex-Miami Dolphin suffered the injury in the second quarter, when his (right) leg appeared to get tangled in a pile of players. The betting odds (ML) that the Washington Redskins will win OVER 7½ in the 2008-2009 NFL regular season is -125.

Even though Taylor was able to walk off the field under his own power, minutes later he was carted into the locker room. His X-rays came back negative, and Taylor had an MRI exam done on Sunday. The betting odds that the Redskins will win UNDER 7½ games in 2008-2009 NFL regular season is -105.
