2010 NFL Preseason Betting Week 3: Starting quarterback, Donovan McNabb will not be available this Friday night when the Washington Redskins [+4½] and the New York Jets [-4½] battle it out in the 2010 NFL Preseason Betting Week 3 at the New Meadowlands Stadium. This game has a scheduled opening kickoff slated for 7 PM ET and 2010 NFL Preseason Betting Week 3 experts at SPORTSBOOK.com believe the Redskins and Jets will combine and score an OVER/UNDER total of 34½ points.
McNabb, who hasn’t practiced since last Saturday’s 2010 NFL Preseason game against the Ravens, is nursing a sprained ankle. "It's quite sore," stated Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan, "and I don't think he could go if it was a regular-season game. He's got to rehab it."
McNabb was seen wearing a boot on Monday after he limped off the field and into the locker room after the game. He is expected to do some walking on the treadmill to rehab the injury which is believed not to be a "bad ankle sprain". Rex Grossman is expected to start in place of McNabb on Friday. But that’s not the only injury concern for the Skins going into this week’s 2010 NFL Preseason game.
Also, fullback Mike Sellers is expected to be sidelined in this week’s game, as he suffered a sprained left knee. In addition, Shanahan will also be without the services of wide receiver Malcolm Kelly, who’s out with a hamstring injury. Coach Shanahan is trying to remain positive nonetheless.
"Let's not count anybody out," he said. "Let's take it day by day. I saw him run some routes out there today. He looked a lot better, almost full-speed straight ahead. Hopefully he'll be able to go next week."
