Washington Redskins vs New York Jets Odds 2010 NFL Preseason Week 3: Two teams that have recently been in the spotlight for anything else other than football will meet tonight at New Meadowlands Stadium, as the (1-1) Washington Redskins [+5½] take on the sports betting odds favorite (1-1) New York Jets [-5½]. This 2010 NFL Preseason showdown is set to get underway at 7 PM ET (6 PM ET/4 PM PT) and the OVER/UNDER between the Redskins and the Jets is set at a combined total of 34 points scored.
For the Redskins, the uncomfortable and public situation between Albert Haynesworth and new head coach Mike
Shanahan has risen to new levels. Making light of that situation this week was another first-year guy in the nation’s capital, as quarterback Donovan McNabb put his two cents into this whole controversy.
Mimicking Haynesworth, McNabb spoke to the media about his latest injury. "They told me it was just a 'sprain,'" said McNabb making fun of the disgruntled defensive tackle. "It want to make sure I do the 'right things' to get myself healthy," McNabb said once again using Haynesworth’s signature air quotes again.
For the Jets, their ever-outspoken head coach, Rex Ryan was involved in a war of words with New England Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady. After the former league MVP publicly aired out his hatred for his team, Ryan quickly responded to those comments.
"It's great. Hey, join the club," Ryan said with a laugh. “Well, he knows we hate the Patriots, so what's the difference? My brother's got a couple of Super Bowl rings. He loves Tom Brady, but I don't have them, so I don't like Tom Brady. I respect him, but I don't like him."
