2010 NFL Preseason Odds Week 4: The ongoing quarterback controversy continues out in the desert, as Arizona Cardinals QB Matt Leinart continues to vent out his frustration through the media. In the latest episode of this comedic drama, Leinart and Cards head coach Ken Whisenhunt went back-and-forth once again. When asked if he was ready to name his starter after the Cardinals finished their 2010 NFL Preseason against Washington, Whisenhunt sarcastically replied:
"Who knows? Maybe we'll keep them guessing. I think we've been consistent with, and this is going into our fourth season, in trying to pick the best team and put the players that give us the best chance to win in there … it's not about whether you like somebody or don't like somebody, it's about what you feel is right for the team."
This, of course wasn’t to Leinart’s liking, as he’s desperately trying to hold on to the No.1 spot that was left vacated when future Hall of Famer, Kurt Warner retired after last season. As for the final 2010 NFL Preseason game, the Arizona Cardinals [-5½] will go in as the sports betting odds favorites against the Washington Redskins [+5½] Thursday night at University of Phoenix Stadium.
Leinart spoke to the media after hearing what his head coach had to say about the No.1 spot in the Cardinals depth chart. "I don't really know what else I could possibly do," Leinart said. "It probably goes beyond football, beyond the field actually. For me, I am not making excuses. I am not going to complain. For me, I just really want an explanation and I haven't been given one."
