Week 1 NFL Predictions: Finally NFL Football is back. And this year’s 2008-2009 NFL season promises to be one of the most exciting in recent times. Can the New York Football Giants repeat after loosing key players to injury and retirement? Or can the almost-perfect New England Patriots bounce back and have another historic season? These are all questions lingering in the minds of NFL Football experts, and aficionados. Fortunately, BodogLife.com has the answer to those, and many other NFL questions in the upcoming 2008-2009 season, as well as Week 1 NFL Predictions and Betting Odds. Going into this brand new NFL season, a question certainly everyone wants to know is: do the New England Patriots still know every team’s offensive/defensive play calls and hand signals? The Pats start their regular season off at home, when they host the Kansas City Chiefs at 1 PM ET on Sunday, September 7th from Gillette Stadium. The New England Patriots are -17 betting odds favorites in their 2008-2009 NFL regular season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs (+17). Can’t talk about New England, without mentioning the team that defeated them in last year's Super Bowl, the New York Giants. The reigning Super Bowl champs begin their title-defense after a tough off-season and preseason. First, they lost Michael Strahan to retirement, and then they lost his replacement, Osi Umenyiora with a season-ending injury. In Week 1, the G-Men welcome the new-look Washington Redskins' defense to the Meadowlands. The New York Giants are -4(-220) betting odds favorites against the visiting Washington Redskins +4(+180) in their 2008-2009 NFL season opener. Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning, can no longer be ignored by the opposition, as he and the Giants will be playing under a telescope this season. Nevertheless, doubter have already coming out of the woodworks due to G-Men's shorten depth chart. However, this is a position that QB Eli Manning is far too comfortable in: “I understand it, and that’s fine by me… I kind of like the position we’re in. I like going under the radar. It makes you know we still have a lot of work to do. No one else is giving us credit. So we know we got to go out there and earn it.”
