Titans vs Jaguars Odds NFL Week 1 Picks: AFC South rivals Tennessee and Jacksonville will butt heads this Sunday as each team attempts to jump start a division title run. This weekend's contest is scheduled for a 1:00pm ET kickoff at EverBank Field in Jacksonville; it will be broadcast live on CBS. The latest NFL Week 1 Picks at our NFL Odds page have the Jags listed as a -2 against the spread home favorite.

Jacksonville's head coach, Titans vs Jaguars Odds NFL Week 1 PicksJack Del Rio, has a number of curious decisions in his past, but the former linebacker's latest move, dumping starting quarterback David Garrard just a week before the season opener, may his most peculiar.

As the story goes, Garrard had a horrible training camp and the switch to Luke McCown was being mulled months ago; however, the timing seems ridiculous, but strangely enough, the quarterback swap has not been reflected in the line for Sunday's showdown with Tennessee. The game opened at two points and has stayed there at most Vegas and offshore books.

That may have something to do with McCown, who at 30 years old, is an eight year NFL veteran. McCown also has 16 starts to his credt, inlcuding one last season, a 13-38 loss to the Chargers in which he completed 11-of-19 passes for 120 yards. For his career the Louisiana Tech product has thrown for 1,739 yards, nine touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.

Maybe the lack of line movement has more to do with the Titans than anything else. Obviously the odds makers are not expecting much from Mike Munchak's retooled roster.

Tennessee, which looked decent in posting a 3-1 preseason record, finished 6-10 last year after losing eight of its final nine games. This year's Titans squad should look vastly different, though. Gone are coach Jeff Fisher, signal callers Vince Young and Kerry Collins and defensive playmakers Stephen Tulloch and Jason Babin. In are Matt Hasselbeck, Jake Locker, Barrett Rudd, Akeem Ayers, and, of course, Munchak, Fisher's longtime assistant.

In short, the Titans are an unknown commodity at this point. Unknown commodities seldom draw favored status on the road, regardless of whatever drama the home team may have going on.

Tennessee's biggest star, running back Chris Johnson, also missed the entire preseason in a contract holdout. The most recent reports suggest the speedster may be in less than perfect shape. If Johnson does play, his impact will probably be limited.
