Ohio State vs USC College Football Predictions

by Abe Luciano on Saturday, September 13th, 2008

Ohio State (2-0) vs. USC (1-0) College Football Predictions: In what is being called the “Collision at the Coliseum”, many are rather anticipating more like a head-on smash between a Mini-Cooper and a train. The #1 ranked Southern California Trojans are expecting a turnout of over 93,000 cheering fans to fill up the old Coliseum in Los Angeles, in what is easily the biggest game of the young 2008 College Football season. But what do the odds say? Well, they don’t see it quite as drastic as the aforementioned analogy. This game has a scheduled starting kickoff of just after 8 PM on the east coast (5 PM PT) from Los Angeles, CA, and can be seen nationwide live on ABC Sports.

At LooseLines.com, the Southern California Trojans are -12 College Football Betting Odds favorites against the visiting Ohio State Buckeyes.

This game will be an epic battle between two of college football's traditional powers: (No. 1) USC vs. (No. 5) Ohio State. The OVER/UNDER for this epic Ohio State vs. USC College Football Battle has been set at a combined 44½ points.

Both of these powerhouses have faced off 21 times total, with one of those meetings being of course, in the Rose Bowl. However, this one is creating plenty of hoopla to go around, because it's their first match-up since the 1990 season.

USC coming off a bye week, so they have gotten plenty of rest, and ample time to prepare for this game. Furthermore, USC has also fared very well against Big Ten opponents as of late, winning their last 7 by an average margin of 28-points.

The Buckeyes have opened with a pair of home wins over in-state rivals Youngstown State and Ohio. RB Chris "Beanie" Wells, who ran for 1,609 yards, and 15 TDs last season, is among the country’s best tailbacks. However, after much back-and-forth about his status for Saturday’s game, Wells is officially listed as a game-time decision.

Can the Buckeyes go into SO. CAL and shock the nation? What if Chris "Beanie" Wells gives it a go, does that really improve their chances of an upset? It has to atleast play a major role on that 12.5 point spread, right? We can play the guessing game all day long, but Sports-Odds has the final say… Who will win this Ohio State vs USC College Football Predictions… find out now!
