NFL Week 2 Predictions on the New England Patriots vs New York Jets Odds: The New England Patriots have listened to Rex Ryan and the New York Jets the entire offseason talk trash all over the place and have prayed for this day to arrive; and guess what? The day where the Pats can shut them up is here as both teams will face each other this Sunday at 4:15 PM ET. The Patriots vs. NY Jets NFL Point Spread have the Patriots -2 at BETONLINE.com

NFL Week 2 Predictions: New England Patriots vs New York Jets Odds The Jets opened the 2010 NFL regular season with a 10-9 loss against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football in a game where their defense spent 38:32 minutes on the field due to some really dumb penalties and the inability from Mark Sanchez to complete a pass. The second year QB looked horrible, almost like a rookie who was just starting for the first time behind a professional team as he completed 10 for 21 passes for 74 yards and no touchdowns nor a pick; keep in mind the Jets were 1 from 11 in third down conversion looking simply awful when the game matter the most.

The problem for New York will be keeping the pace of a New England Patriots offense that looked amazing in the first week win 38-17 over the Cincinnati Bengals. Tom Brady threw for 245 yards and threw touchdowns for 120.9 rating over a defense that was the sixth best stopping the pass last season.

Now, to be fair the Jets defense is the best in the National Football League but they let the Ravens moved the ball at times especially in third downs opportunities which gives me doubts about how they are going to hold off Tom Brady during the 60 minutes of the game; if they don't, they are pretty much done for the game because NFL betting fans, what Sanchez showed on Monday was simply pathetic.

The right choice here is to bet on the Patriots despite being on the road, you have to know the best QB by far is on the New England sidelines and knowing this is a QB passing league, well, it is simply a dumb bet to pick the Jets when they can't move the ball an inch on any down.

The betting trends say the Patriots are 3-1 ATS as a road favorite of 3 points or less over the last three years and the Jets are 7-10 ATS in home games. Also, New England is 11-6 against the spread versus NY Jets since 1992 and 2 of 3 games in this series have gone UNDER THE TOTAL over the last 3 seasons.
