Ohio State vs Miami Line 2011 College Football Predictions Week 3: The No. 16 Ohio State Buckeyes hit the road for the first time in 2011 when they head for South Beach for a game with the unranked Miami U Hurricanes at Sun Life Stadium as College Football Odds underdogs.

Ohio State vs Miami Line 2011 College Football Predictions Week 3Miami would like to even the series between the schools, currently showing an OSU advantage at 2-1. The Buckeyes have vacated its win against Miami from last year.  Carrying a 2-1 advantage over Miami; Ohio State will look to earn a third win in the series and the season for the matter, having opened the 2011 campaign with wins over Akron and Toledo. Miami is 0-1 on the season after losing its opener 32-24 at Maryland on Sept. 5.  The Hurricanes were idle last week.

The Hurricanes have had a few extra days to get ready for today’s game with The Ohio State University Buckeyes who come calling as +2 1/2 point underdogs with a 46 total. Miami is giving -135 odds as the moneyline favorite while the Buckeyes are getting +115.

Jacory Harris will start at QB for the Hurricane after serving a one-game suspension in the season-opener at Maryland. Harris, the ACC’s active leader in most career passing categories, will be in for Stephen Morris, who completed 19-of-28 passes for 195 yards on Sept. 5., Lamar Miller’s 119-yard game at Maryland included a 41-yard run. For his career, Harris has 50 touchdowns to 39 interceptions, including 32 picks since 2009.

Ohio State leads the Big Ten and ranks fourth nationally in rush defense, giving up just 40.5 yards per game, while ranking second in the conference and 10th overall in total defense at 214.0 yards allowed each time out. Senior linebacker Andrew Sweat is Ohio State's co-leader in tackles this season with 11. He has 72 career tackles and posted a team-high six tackles, including 2.0 TFL, a forced fumble and an interception against Akron in the season opener.  Etienne Sabino leads all Big Ten players with 4.0 TFL this season.

Ohio State’s offense enters the weekend ranked second in the Big Ten in passing (241.0), fifth in total yards (409.0), sixth in scoring (34.5) and eighth in rushing (168.0).  In his first two career starts, Joe Bauserman has passed for 352 yards, four TDs with zero interceptions.  His primary target has been Jake Stoneburner, who has hauled in four touchdown passes on the year after catching just two in 2009-10.

On the ground, Buckeyes tailback Carlos Hyde ranks sixth in the Big Ten with 84.5 yards rushing per game.  He narrowly missed gaining 100 yards in his first career start with 93 yards in the win over Akron Sept. 3.  Miami’s defense struggled in the constant downpours at Maryland two weeks ago, giving up 28 first downs, 348 passing yards, and 499 total yards to the Terps.  Five players totaled eight tackles each in the loss, including Vaughn Telemaque, Mike Williams, JoJo Nicolas, Brandon McGee, and Ramon Buchanan. Telemaque and Williams recorded seven solo stops apiece, while Buchanan registered two tackles behind the line of scrimmage. My College Football Odds prediction has Miami stepping up at home andpulling out a win. My Prediction: Miami U -2 1/2.
