Notre Dame (2-0) at Michigan State (2-1): 3:30 PM ET, September 20, 2008, Spartan Stadium, East Lansing , MI. The betting odds at LooseLines.com show that Michigan State will try to improve to 3-1 on the season as they open up as (-8.5) and Notre Dame tries to get a tough win on the road to improve to 3-0 on the season (+8.5) dogs. The Irish are motivated coming off a big win last week over Michigan at home 35-17. QB Jimmy Clausen this season has only complete 56.4 of his pass attempts. He also has 5 TD's but has 4 INT's. Needs to improve his passer ratings, and the number of INT's he throws. Michigan State's RB Javon Ringer 104 rushed for 492 yards 4.7 Avg and 9TD's. The Irish will need to stop the run in this game to have a chance to win this game outright. Spartan haven't taken down ND at home since 2000.
ND has a lot of confidence no matter how ugly they won the first two weeks, but can they stop Ringer who is the best back (besides McKnight) that ND will see all year. ND's victory last week came on the same day Notre Dame honored former coach Lou Holtz by dedicating a statue of him before the game. I know it was raining last week but Michigan State won with only 2 touchdowns against a high school team basically; Florida Atl. Will they show they're better then this in front of their home crowd today? Trends: Road team is 7-0 ATS in their last 7 meetings. Spartans are 4-0 ATS vs. a team with a winning record. Fighting Irish are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games after accumulating less than 275 total yards in their previous game. I have a huge play going on this game today as I release this play as my Big 10 Total Of The Year! Plus don't miss the rest of my top plays Saturday, so check out my College Football Picks. I also will feature my CFB Crusher Game Of The Year, and both games will have a huge guarantee on them.
