Kansas State RB Leon Patton Arrested for Abusing Small Boy: On Thursday, Kansas State RB Leon Patton was released from the team after being arrested and charged with abuse on a 4-month-old boy. Authorities are saying that Patton was arrested, booked, and his bond set at $30,000 for his actions on July 15. Specifics about the case have yet to be released, but Patton is apparently no stranger to problems with the law.

Prior to this incident, Kansas State had already suspended Leon Patton from the team for various reasons.

In July, it was uncovered that Patton had some outstanding warrants dating back to 2007 during a routine traffic stop.

Allegedly one of those warrants was for some stolen items.

Patton was arrested and charged for stealing 2 video games from a Wal-Mart store, as well as an unpaid parking ticket.

He was convicted and sentenced to six months probation, and fined $100.

In two seasons at Kansas State, Patton rushed for 999 yards and 10 touchdowns. The University didn’t provide any more information regarding Patton, other than the fact that he has been officially dismissed from the team.
