In their last meeting on December 14, 2008, the Texans stunned Tennessee (13-12) thanks in part to a franchise-record setting day for wide receiver Andre Johnson, who registered 207 receiving yards. Despite losing their last encounter, the Titans still hold a commanding 11-3 lead in their overall head-to-head series.
It’s worth noting that Texans running back, Steve Slaton has rushed for over 100 yards in both of his starts against Tennessee’s defense. Last week, however, Houston wasn’t expecting the offensive outburst and defensive performance the New York Jets brought with them for the opener defeating them at home, 24-7.
For the Titans, talk about being throw into the fire right off the bat, as they fell to the defending Super Bowl champs in a highly contested and physically played 13-10 game on Thursday Night.
