Rams vs Giants Odds 2011 Monday Night Football Lines: The banged up Giants will take the big stage this evening as they host the upstart Rams for a Monday Night Football showdown at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The two teams are scheduled to take the field at 8:30pm ET; tonight' game will be broadcast live in ESPN. The latest 2011 Monday Night Football Lines have the game total set at 44.5 while the most up to date Rams vs Giants Odds have the home team listed as a -7 against the spread favorite.

The Rams went into last week's opener as Rams vs Giants Odds 2011 Monday Night Football Linesa four point dog to the visiting Eagles, but that seemed to say more about Philadelphia than St. Louis. Many expected, or expect, Sam Bradford and company to win the NFC West this season; however, those expectations are, no doubt, contingent upon the team staying healthy.

Week one was a colossal wreck for the team on several fronts, including the injury one. Bradford hurt the index finger on his throwing hand, Steven Jackson strained a quadricep, Danny Amendola dislocated an elbow, and Jason Smith tweaked an ankle. And, oh by the way, St. Louis got blown out 31-13 by the Eagles.

The Rams defense, a team strength last season, got lit up for 27 first downs and 403 total yards as the Eagles rushed for an astounding 236 yards (7.4 yards per carry). St. Louis' offense, despite rushing for 154 yards on 26 carries, looked sluggish as well as it totaled 335 yards and converted 2-of-12 on third down.

New York, which has also been slammed with injuries, plodded its way through a difficult week one contest too. The Giants went on the road to face NFC East rival Washington, a team it had beat six consecutive times, and lost 28-14.

New York's defense, which has suffered the bulk of team's numerous injuries, played well in the setback, limiting the Redskins to 332 total yards and a 2.8 yards per carry average. The Giants were horrendous on offense, though, as they produced 315 yards and converted just one of 10 on third down.

Obviously, both of these teams will be hoping for a better performance tonight as they look to avoid an 0-2 hole. The odds are in New York's favor given the Rams road woes last season. St. Louis, which has lost four in a row to the Giants, dropped six of its eight road games a season ago by an average of 12 points per game.

The Rams are certainly capable of upsetting the Giants, but they will need a great game from Bradford and a strong effort from Jackson. Jackson, though, is a game time decision and without his presence, the pressure on Bradford becomes enormous.
