Seahawks Matt Hasselbeck Likely Out NFL Week 3: The Seattle Seahawks were so glad to get Pro Bowl quarterback, Matt Hasselbeck back this NFL season. However, bad fortunes and a very hard hit might cost Hasselbeck to sit out Sunday’s Week 3 home game against the Chicago Bears at Qwest Field because of a broken rib.

According to NFL Week 3 Betting Odds makers at SBGglobal.com, the Seattle Seahawks [+1½] had already been listed as the sports betting odds underdogs in this Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears [-1½]. Mind you, opening lines for this game began at 1 point in favor of the visitors.

Some sportsbooks have already moved it to -2 points in favor of the Bears, how much more will this line move? We’ll keep you posted. At this point, the OVER/UNDER for the Chicago-Seattle ballgame is set at a combined total of 37 points scored.

On Monday, Seahawks coach Jim Mora confirmed that Hasselbeck did suffer a fractured rib and that the team will prepare assuming their starter will not take the field in the NFL Week 3. In his place, backup QB Seneca Wallace will be prepping to start against Chicago, after finishing the game when Hasselbeck went down. The 3-time Pro Bolwer is 35-of-54 (64%) in completions, 376 yards, 3 touchdowns, 3 interceptions, and a QB-rating of 88.2 thus far this season.
