2010 NFL Week 3 Point Spreads & NFL Picks: As the (1-1-0) New York Jets [+2] get ready to take on their long-time rivals, the undefeated (2-0-0) Miami Dolphins [-2], they must do so without the help of cornerback Darrelle Revis. The Jets and Dolphins will kick things off on Sunday night at Sun Life Stadium at 8:20 PM ET (7:20 PM CT/5:20 PM PT).
The Jet’s CB will be out due to his strained left hamstring that he feels has not healed completely. Revis is very interested in
getting healthy and will be staying in New York this weekend in order to receive further treatment on his hamstring.
"I want to be out there with them, but I can't," Revis said Wednesday. "I'm just going to take my time and get back to 100 percent."
The CB did start last week against the New England Patriots last Sunday, and claims he felt healthy at the start of the game. But towards the end of the first half, right after Randy Moss caught a 34-yard touchdown in front of him, Revis grabbed his leg in pain. He was taken to the sidelines where he was examined and taken to the locker room for treatment. He was not able to return to the game.
Having injured his hamstring last summer, Revis knew that it was the best decision to sit the rest of the game out Coach Rex Ryan would love for him to be back, but knows he is not ready yet. "He's itching to get back," Ryan said, "but it's too risky of a proposition to put him out there."
