Cincinnati Bengals vs Carolina Panthers 2010 NFL Picks, 2010 NFL Predictions & 2010 NFL Odds: The (0-2-0) Carolina Panthers [+3] are hoping a change in quarterback will get them their first win of the season, as they get ready to take on the (1-1-0) Cincinnati Bengals [-3] on Sunday at 1PM ET. According to Cincinnati Bengals vs Carolina Panthers 2010 NFL Picks, 2010 NFL Predictions & 2010 NFL Odds makers, the OVER/UNDER is set at a combined total of 37½ points scored.
Rookie quarterback from Notre Dame, Jimmy Clausen will take Matt Moore’s place on the field this week after Moore had two winless games filled with six turnovers. But Panther’s Coach John Fox knew it was time for him to sit out after his performance in the fourth quarter of last week’s game against the Buccaneers.
Moore went 6 for 16 with an interception and a fumble. The next day Fox stated that he would start Clausen. This season Clausen has a 46.7 completion percentage and a 29.6 quarterback rating thus far.
"We've just not been getting it done," Fox said. "Jimmy is a guy we think highly of. I thought he made the most of his opportunities Sunday. We'll see how it goes this week."
The rookie will get his chance to start against the Cincinnati Bengals, who are coming off a big win against the Ravens in Week 2. The Bengals were able to defeat Baltimore 15-10, with the help of their defense, which was able to stop Ravens QB Joe Flacco. Carson Palmer has also had some trouble being constant for the Bengals. Other than the second half of the Patriots game in Week 1, where he went 22 of 31 for 215 yards and two TD’s, Palmer has not been too sharp.
In last week’s game against Baltimore he completed just seven passes to Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens, and currently holds a 60.4 passer rating.
