NFL Week 4 Picks: Many football bettors like to focus on home underdogs, despite the belief among some handicappers that they are an overvalued play. Washington Redskins vs St. Louis Rams 
(-1): I know, -1 isn't much of a favorite, but it still works. Yes, Washington is coming off a Monday night game and tough divisional loss at that, but the Redskins are starting to look like a legitimate team. The same cannot be said of the Rams, which are 0-3 and coming off their fourth loss in their last five home games. I will fully concede that St. Louis is capable of winning this game, heck, they drubbed Washington 30-16 at the Edward Jones Dome last year, but I like the Redskins here. Washington's defense looked pretty stout against the Cowboys offense, which has more to offer, even without Miles Austin, than do the Rams.
Miami Dolphins vs San Diego Chargers (-7): Call me crazy, siding with the Fins here…back-to-back road games, a ridiculously long coast-to-coast flight, I know it sounds silly against the high powered Chargers, right? But just how high powered is this San Diego team? The answer is not very when they turn the ball over all the time (-6 TO). Sure, they pile up the yardage, but they have done an excellent job of halting their own drives. Philip Rivers has been the chief offender, throwing four touchdowns to six interceptions this season, and he's shown no signs of reversing that disturbing trend. This looks and feels like a mismatch, but how often has San Diego fallen short of expections in games just like this one? Miami is not chopped liver either. Despite the Dolphins 0-3 start, they have enough players to hang around in this one.
