Week 4 NFL Predictions 2011

by Abe Luciano on Thursday, September 29th, 2011

Week 4 NFL Predictions 2011: Just when people were beginning to get cozy after jumping on the Silver and Black bandwagon it’s now time to get off of it… at least for a couple of week. Coming off the biggest game in Hue Jackson’s NFL coaching career, the (2-1) Oakland Raiders [+4] are about to have a letdown when they welcome the NFL Betting Odds favorite (2-1) New England Patriots [-4] to the Bay Area.

The Patriots and Raiders are scheduled to kick thing off, Saturday afternoon at 4:15 PM ET from the O.Co Coliseum in Oaktown, California. You can catch all the hard-hitting action of this intraconference affair on CBS Sports. According to Week 4 NFL Predictions experts, the OVER/UNDER for this game is set at a combined total of 55 points.

“He’s a tough, hard-nosed football player that loves the game and you can see that by the way he plays,” Tom Brady said of his former defensive lineman. “He has high expectations for himself, he really gets after the quarterback, he plays the run well, he’s obviously a leader in that defensive front there and when he gets going, they all get going. That’s the thing, they really rally around him. When he makes his plays, then they all start making plays.”

So who’s going to win this battle? Will it be McFadden and Seymour the last men standing? Or will Brady put last game’s woes behind him and return to his normal, robotic self?

My Week 4 NFL Predictions 2011 for the Patriots vs Raiders game: There’s no way that Tom Brady is going to have back-to-back subpar games. that’s just not part of his DNA. A week ago, before we saw what happened in Buffalo, I would have said the Raiders would have had a fighting chance to beat the Pats in Week 4.

However, after throwing 4 picks and losing a game they should have won, I expect nothing less than the best Brady and Patriots team to go against Oakland. Don’t get me wrong, by no means do I think the Raiders are just going to lay down and let them walk all over them at home.

The problem is, that they will be playing a superior team. This will be a good learning experience for Oakland, nonetheless. Too bad it’ll not translate into a victory. Even though it’ll be close, I ultimately like the Patriots by at least touchdown in this one!
