Nobody gave the banged up Giants a 
chance last week against its NFC East rival Philadelphia, but they wasted no time jumping all over the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. New York built a 14-3 first half lead before going on to win the game 29-16.
Three things enabled the huge underdog victory: Eli Manning, turnovers, and a hand injury to Michael Vick. Manning turned in a near flawless performance, completing 16-of-23 passes for 254 yards and four touchdowns, while the defense picked off three passes and knocked Vick out of the game in the second half. Despite owning a career 79 passer rating against the Cardinals, it would appear Manning could be in for another big day tomorrow. Arizona, which lost as a 3.5 point favorite at Seattle last Sunday, is giving up an average of 397.7 yards per game, 275 of which is coming through the air.
Even the Cardinals could not make Tarvaris Jackson look good, though, as he finished the game with a 60 quarterback rating after throwing for 171 yards and an interception. Unfortunately for Arizona, two Kevin Kolb interceptions and an inability to convert on third down (3-for-14) doomed the team to a 13-10 loss and a 1-2 record.
The Cardinals won the last meeting between these two teams 24-17, but that took place in New York in October of 2009. The combination of Kolb and Fitzgerald against the Giants depleted secondary certainly makes another win feasible for Arizona, but the Giants passing game should thrive as well. Perhaps the Over 44.5 is the best play here.
