Monday Night Football New England Patriots vs Miami Dolphins Odds: All eyes will be on Sun Life Stadium tonight when an AFC East raw battle between the New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins take the stage on ESPN's Monday Night Football at 8:30 PM ET. The Patriots vs. Dolphins NFL Point Spread have the Dolphins -1 at BETUS.com

Active ImageBoth the Dolphins and the Patriots lost against the NY Jets already this season and another loss vs. an AFC East rival will be difficult to take, meaning this game is a big deal for both squads.  Last season the Dolphins beat the Patriots 22-21 in Miami when they came back from an 11 points deficit, after that QB Tom Brady is 3-5 ATS all time against the Fins.

The Patriots offense entered this week 4 as the most scoring unit in the NFL averaging more than 30 points per game and with Brady and Randy Moss playing at a really high level. For Miami the key will be a new guy in this rivalry as the linebacker Karlos Dansby makes without a doubt this defense better. “We’ve just got to execute. If we’re not great here, we’ve got to execute those guys. Those guys are efficient and they’re going to take shots. Tom Brady knows exactly where he wants to go with the ball. We’ve just got to be efficient and execute. If we execute, we can have a great outing as a team," Dansby explained.

Also New England needs to establish the run but not only because it has to be done but because the numbers say it too. Since 2001 the Patriots are 42-1 when one of their running backs has 20 or more carries in game, obviously is the best record in the league since that period.

The Dolphins on the other side of the ball know they will face one of the weakest defenses in the game, especially after watching the Bills scored 30 points against the Patriots last week. Chad Henne will be looking for Brandon Marshall down the field trying to take advantage of play action fake passes but also expect a lot from WR Devon Best, both will be key players against a bad secondary defense.

Consider Dolphins are 10-4 ATS vs. AFC East since 2008, 4-1 ATS after allowing 30+ points and 3-1 against the spread versus New England over the last 3 seasons.  The Patriots are 0-1 ATS in games where the line is +3 to -3 and in road games this season.
