NFL Week 5 Picks

by Alonzo Simmons on Tuesday, October 5th, 2010

NFL Week 5 Picks: I did pretty good last week but there is no time to look back, instead it's time to see the best early NFL Week 5 Picks with the early lines the oddsmakers have set. Remember the betting line will change during the week so it's better to take advantage and start betting your 2010 NFL Week 5 Picks now.

NFL Week 5 PicksSt. Louis Rams vs. Detroit Lions – The Rams vs. Lions NFL Point Spread have the Lions -3 at BETUS.com. The oddsmakers are giving way too much credit to the Rams. Alot more then they actually deserve, don't get me wrong I took the Rams this past weekend to beat the Seahawks and to cover the spread but I don't expect this to continue, especially away from home.

So far the Lions are 3-1 ATS this season because they can't stop anybody but they haven been able to score a lot of points to keep the games close. Keep in mind the Lions are the 7th best passing offense in the league so to beat them the Rams need to score a lot of points, I'm sorry I don't see that happening.

My NFL Week 5 Picks on the St. Louis Rams at Detroit Lions Game: Lions will cover the spread.

Green Bay Packers vs. Washington Redskins – The Packers vs. Redskins NFL Point Spread have the Packers -2.5 at BETUS.com. We are all waiting for the Packers offense to blow their rivals up but it hasn't happened just yet. The Redskins defense is the second last defending the pass and if you need a matchup to get Aaron Rodgers and this offense going this is it and looking at their schedule I just can't find a better one than this. Remember Washington already lost to a pure passing team at home like the Houston Texans.

My NFL Week 5 Picks on the Green Bay Packers at Washington Redskins Game: Packers will cover the spread.

Minnesota Vikings vs. New York Jets – The Vikings vs. Jets NFL Point Spread have the Jets -3.5 at BETUS.com. Remember Brett Favre played for the Jets one year so it's kind of a revenge game, but it's really not. I think Favre doesn't even remember that he played dressed in white and green and on the other side the NY Jets defense is now rolling. I don't expect a close game because Favre is a mistake machine this season and Rex Ryan is waiting for turnovers to happen in this game.

My NFL Week 5 Picks on the Minnesota Vikings at New York Jets Game: Jets will cover the spread.
