NFL Week 5 Point Spreads 2011: As we approach mid-week, NFL Week 5 Point Spreads 2011 experts have now released every single game on the NFL schedule. With eight 1 PM games, three 4 PMers, the Sunday Night and the Monday Night, it promises to be a great Week of NFL Football action!
One rookie that has gotten off to quite a start, despite having a very tough schedule, has been Carolina Panthers’ own, Cam Newton. The Heisman Trophy winner has not only gotten the monkey off his back by getting his first
professional victory, but he has been every bit as good as advertised.
Going into Week 5, Newton is a solid third place in the league in passing yards (1,386 pypg), trailing only New England’s Tom Brady (1,553) and New Orleans’ Drew Brees (1,410). Speaking of Brees and the Saints, Newton will get his first look at the 2009 Super Bowl champs, this Sunday when they meet at Bank of America Stadium.
According to NFL Week 5 Point Spreads 2011 experts, the (3-1) New Orleans Saints [-6½] will hold the edge in the NFL Betting Odds over the hosting (1-3) Carolina Panthers [+6½]. This game has an opening kickoff slated for 1 PM ET and it’ll be broadcasted live on FOX. Also, the OVER/UNDER is set at a projected point-total of 52½ between the Saints and Panthers.
Other rookies making an immediate impact have been two running backs: Daniel Thomas of the Miami Dolphins and 2010 Heisman winner, Mark Ingram of the Saints. Going into Week 5, Thomas leads all rookie rushers with 202 yards on 41 carries, followed by Ingram and his 184 yards on 53 carries.
The Dolphins will be off this week due to a Bye, but will be back in action the following week when they visit the New York Jets on Monday night.
