Rush Limbaugh Bids to Buy St. Louis Rams: The St. Louis Rams have been one of the worse teams in the National Football League for some years now, that’s no secret. The Rams are so bad, that since 2007 they’re 5-31, including the longest losing streak in NFL history. On Tuesday, published conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh expressed his decision to collaborate with St. Louis Blues owner Dave Checketts in an attempt to buy the neglected franchise.
This week, the (0-4) St. Louis Rams [+10] can add another tally to the “L” column, as the undefeated, sports
betting odds favorite (4-0) Minnesota Vikings [-10] invade Edward Jones Dome in a disproportioned NFC matchup. This NFL Week 5 game is slated to kickoff at 1 PM ET (10 AM PT) and it’ll be broadcasted on FOX.
“Dave Checketts and I have made a bid to buy the Rams and we are continuing the process,” Limbaugh said.
Although the ever-outspoken Republican failed to discuss any specific details, the Checketts-Limbaugh team could potentially have other partners involved in this effort. According to Forbes magazine, the St. Louis Rams franchise has been estimated to have a $929 million pricetag.
It’s worth noting that Checketts has plenty of experience in managing professional sports teams. At the age of 28, Checketts became the youngest person ever to run an NBA team as president and general manager of the Utah Jazz in 1984. He later ran Madison Square Garden as well as the New York Knickerbockers. The OVER/UNDER for the Vikings-Rams NFL Week 5 contest has been calculated and set at a combined total of 40½ points scored.
