Tennessee went into its season opener asTitans vs Steelers Odds 2011 NFL Predictions Week 5 an unknown commodity. The Titans had a new head coach, a new quarterback, and a star running back that did not participate in a single offseason workout. Jacksonville took advantage of the uncertainty, beating Tennessee 16-14 at EverBank Field.

The Titans have been one of the league's biggest surprises since that setback, though, reeling off three straight wins over Baltimore, Denver, and Cleveland. Tennessee not only won those games, they did so by an average of 11.3 points per contest.

The Browns served as the latest victim, falling 31-13 to the Titans at Cleveland Browns Stadium on Sunday. Statistically the game made no sense with Cleveland posting 25 first downs and 416 total yards to Tennessee's 13 and 332 respectively. The Browns also owned a 36:53 to 23:07 time of possession advantage and the teams were even in the turnover department with one apiece. Get $50 in Free NFL Picks Here.

So why the big difference? Cleveland's one giveaway resulted in a 97 yard interception return for a Titans touchdown and three of Matt Hasselbeck's 10 pass completions were touchdowns.

There were no statistical anomalies in the Steelers 17-10 loss at Houston last weekend. Pittsburgh (2-2) yielded a modest 318 yards to the Texans, but they were gashed for 180 rush yards on 35 Houston carries. The Steelers offense struggled as well, recording just 296 yards in 28:17 while converting only one time in three trips inside the red zone.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who is listed as day-to-day with a left foot injury he suffered against the Texans, completed 16-of-30 for 206 yards and one interception in the loss.

This looks like a matchup between two teams headed in opposite directions, but the Steelers have a great deal of pride and they are always a tough out at home. Despite Pittsburgh's struggles to stop the run this season and the absence of James Harrison, who broke a bone in his face last weekend, the Steelers get the win here and avoid a potentially devastating 2-3 hole.
