Dallas Cowboys Acquire WR Roy Williams from Detroit Lions: At the 2008 NFL Trade Deadline, there aren’t many things to report. The biggest name on the market was the Kansas City Chiefs’ TE, Tony Gonzalez. At the 4 PM ET deadline, it appears as though Gonzalez isn’t going anywhere. The Kansas City Chiefs [+8] will host the undefeated Tennessee Titans [-8] at Arrowhead Stadium this Sunday afternoon. The Dallas Cowboys were able to finalize a deal, and acquired wide receiver Roy Williams from the Detroit Lions, in exchange for some draft picks: 1st, 3rd, and 6th.  With the addition of Williams, the Cowboys have added another target for when Romo gets back. So far this season, Williams has put up these numbers with the Detroit Lions: 17 receptions, 232 yards (13.6 Avg.), 1 TD, 4 catches of 20+ yards, and 0 fumbles. In this NFL Week 7, the Dallas Cowboys are [-7] NFL Betting favorites when they visit the [+7] St. Louis Rams on Sunday at 1 PM ET on FOX. The Cowboys have been all over the news for various reasons. First, they were upset at Arizona (in overtime) after an improbable comeback last Sunday. Then, they lost their starting QB Tony Romo, because of a fractured finger. Even though Romo won’t need surgery, he will be out for approximately 4 weeks (3 games with their bye-week). Finally, is the latest episode out of Big-D, involving CB Adam “Pacman” Jones. The NFL announced today that the Cowboys CB has been suspended indefinitely without pay for his involvements in an altercation with his bodyguard last week. Other NFL trade deadline news: Without making any trades, the Washington Redskins signed former NFL MVP RB Shaun Alexander to a one-year deal and punter Ryan Plackemeier. The Washington Redskins [-7] will host the Cleveland Browns [+7] beginning at 4:15 PM ET on CBS.
