NFL Predictions Week 7 2011: Home favorites were in abundance last weekend, giving them ample opportunity to both fail or succeed. Those who like to back the home chalk were rewarded in a big way as hosting favorites went an impressive 7-3-1 against the spread and 10-1 straight up. There are seven home favorites on the schedule this week, including the Panthers, Browns, and Dolphins, all of which own losing records.
Indianapolis Colts vs New Orleans Saints 
(-14): The spread might seem a little high, especially considering the Colts noble effort to avoid completely folding its tent in the face of an inevitably disappointing season. However, the Saints, who are a far superior bunch than the Colts, typically rebound well from a loss. New Orleans is 5-1 following its last six regular season losses (sole loss came in the playoffs last year following a regular season finale setback at Tampa Bay), winning those games by an average of 11.4 points per game. Denver Broncos vs Miami Dolphins (-1.5): Denver has some stuff going on right now, but how could anyone jump on a team that has not won a game all season and posted a 1-9 record in its last 10 home games? Both teams are inept on both sides of the ball, but the Broncos have shown more fight, battling the Raiders, Chargers, and Titans to the end. Denver also beat a Bengals team that looks more formidable with each passing week. Sure, Tim Tebow has his flaws but he would probably cut off an ear to get a road win in his home state. If this game stays close (and why wouldn't it?), the Dolphins will break before Tebow and the Broncos.
