2011 NFL Point Spreads Week 7: NFL Points Spreads move up and down depending on various factors. In the case of the Oakland Raiders vs Kansas City Chiefs, we have seen quite a bit of movement. First, the opening lines had the Silver and Black favorites by just a field goal. However, when news about the possibility of a trade for Carson Palmer began to surface, 2011 NFL Point Spreads Week 7 specialists went to work.
Reaching NFL Point Spreads as high as a touchdown plus a point-after, the Raiders got to be listed as -7-point
favorites over the Chiefs. It’s crazy how the mere threat of a Carson Palmer joining a team can drive odds and expectations high.
Even before the guy made a single pass in practice with his new teammates, the Raiders were already going to the playoff. But what people seem to miss is the fact that this could be a complete bust.
Raiders coach Hue Jackson should have been very careful with his words when naming this the “biggest trade in football.” Why? Because of all the expectations from Raiders fans, enemies, and bettors alike… just ask Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles about that!
Right now, the Raiders are listed as 4-point favorites, simply because it appears that Palmer, who’ll wear No.3 for the Silver and Black, is not expected to start. Instead, the well-traveled Kyle Boller is supposed to get his first start since he was a Ram back in 2009. But, I’m not buying it! Get $50 in Free NFL Picks Here!
As we’ve seen thus far, Jackson has proven to be a master of deception. The fact that he has yet to name a starter for this game leaves the doubt in my mind about Boller running the offense for the entire 60 minutes. I truly believe that we will see Palmer in the game at some point. Heck, he might even start!
