Chicago Bears vs. Cincinnati Bengals NFL Odds Week 7: The (3-2) Chicago Bears [-110 ML] will take on the surprising, AFC North leading (4-2) Cincinnati Bengals [-110 ML] in an NFL Odds Week 7 Game that NFL odds makers just cant seem to make up their minds in picking a favorite. The Bears and the Bengals will battle it out this Sunday afternoon live from Paul Brown Stadium with the opening kick off slated for 4:15 PM ET (1:15 PM PT) on FOX.
The last time these clubs met dates back to the NFL Odds Week three of the 2005 campaign, when Cincinnati
dominated Chicago 24-3. The Bengals have the advantage with a 5-3 record in their scarce head-to-head meetings with the Bears, which includes an ongoing 4-game win streak. The OVER/UNDER for this, Chicago Bears vs. Cincinnati Bengals NFL Odds Week 7 contest has been calculated and settled at a combined total of 42½ points scored.
Last week, Cincinnati lost a heartbreaker to the Houston Texans 28-17. As they get ready to take on the Bears, the ever controversial, (WR) Chad Ochocinco has managed to stir things up on Twitter as he has shared his eagerness to defeat Chicago in the NFL Odds Week 7. Despite all the hoopla and trash talk, one thing is certain, when he gets on the field, Chad can certainly backup his talk.
Needless to say, that the Bears will have to play exceptional coverage in order to shut 85’s loud mouth up, but I’m not even sure that’s possible. The absence of top pass-rusher (DE), Antwan Odom, will be a tough loss for the Bengals defense to make up for. Odom is out for the season with a torn Achilles’ tendon. Thus, Robert Geathers and Jonathan Fanene will try to fill in his shoes.
As for the Bears, they also fell short last week against the Atlanta Falcons, 21-14. By far their biggest problem this week will be Cincinnati’s offensive weapons. The Bengals offense has three strong playmakers Chicago needs to keep taps on at all times in QB Carson Palmer, RB Cedric Benson and WR Chad Ochocinco.
The felines are currently tied for first place with Pittsburgh in the AFC North. It’s safe to say that no one is happier to be in Buckeye State than former Bears 4th overall pick, Cedric Benson. "Dreams are coming true," said Benson. "It's a wonderful feeling and I will promise you that I will take full advantage of it all the time."
The Bears will hope to see improvement in Matt Forte, who has been struggling this year. He has three fumbles and only one touchdown, averaging 3.4 yards per carry. This would be the game for him to dust himself off, as he will be facing the Bengals’ 11th ranked run defense.
