It has become apparant 
after six games that Cleveland is not a pretty team, but it is a scrappy one. Case in point: last week's game, a 6-3 win over win over Seattle at Cleveland Browns Stadium.
The Browns possessed the ball over 42 minutes, but managed only 300 yards of offense. Colt McCoy completed 20-of-35 passes for 178 yards and a pick and running back Montario Hardesty, filling in for the injured Peyton Hillis, carried the ball 33 times for 95 yards.
Cleveland's grind it out, unorthodox approach has only worked against sub-par opposition, though. The Browns three wins came against teams that are a combined 2-17 on the season. Their three losses came by an average of 11.7 points per game against three teams that are a collective 11-8 overall.
Those numbers would indicate the Browns are in serious trouble this Sunday. San Francisco, which owns the top spot in the NFC West with a 5-1 record, looks stronger with each passing week.
The Niners, winners of four straight and fresh off a bye, have been especially tough on opposing offenses, holding their competition to an average of 13.3 over the last four games.
That average will improve on Sunday when the 49ers route the Browns. The only way Cleveland scores more than 10 points in this game is with the aid of a defensive or special teams touchdown.
