Carolina Panthers vs. Arizona Cardinals NFL Odds Week 8: The (2-4) Carolina Panthers [+10] have some unsettled business with the sports betting odds favorite (4-2) Arizona Cardinals [-10] going into this NFL Odds Week 8 game. But does Jake Delhomme and the felines have enough firepower to upset the hosting Cardinals in the desert today?

This NFL Odds Week 8 NFC matchup is scheduled to kickoff at 4:15 PM ET live from the University of Phoenix Stadium and it will be broadcasted live on FOX. According to NFL Odds Week 8 experts at BetUS.com, the Carolina Panthers vs Arizona Cardinals NFL Odds Week 8OVER/UNDER for this Carolina Panthers vs. Arizona Cardinals showdown has been set at a combined total of 41½ points scored.

For the visiting Panthers, this will be the first time that they take on quarterback Kurt Warner and the Cards since their playoff meeting last season. Carolina entered that game undefeated at home and favorites to win, but chose the very worse time to surrender its first defeat (33-13) at Bank of America Stadium of the 2008 campaign.

Panthers QB Delhomme was erratic that day, and it cost him, getting picked off five times by the Arizona defense.
Things haven’t gotten much better for Delhomme since last season’s woes in the playoffs. After signing a five-year extension the Panthers lead the league with 21 turnovers and coach John Fox has even contemplated benching the 2005 Pro Bowl selectee.

"If he would have went that way, how could I blame him? I mean, let's be real here, how could I blame him?" Delhomme said. "But I was hoping it would be me. I'm going down swinging. I don't know any other way to put it."

For the hosting NFC West leading Cardinals, things are beginning to click after alternating wins and losses going into their Bye. Last week, Arizona went into Giants Stadium and stunned the New York Giants 24-17, as Eli Manning was picked off three times that night. "We have a good thing going with our defense as far as accountability and belief in each other," Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt said. "They are playing very fast and very physical and making plays."

According to Warner, the win against New York was huge in more ways than one. "Outside of the playoffs last year, we haven't had a lot of quality wins, wins against tough opponents, teams that are playing really well," quarterback Kurt Warner said. "Those are kind of statement games, where you gain confidence, and you feel like you can compete with anybody."
