The Rams hold the overall series against the Lions, 41-38-1, but the Lions have won four of the past six games. Detroit (1-5) is coming off a bye week thirsty for a win. Their only victory in 23 games came on September 27th (week 3), as they shocked Washington, 19-14. The Lions got some good news this week, as quarterback Matthew Stafford returned to practice after sitting out 2 games with a knee injury. However, Stafford’s favorite target, Calvin Johnson might not be available for a second straight week. He’s also recovering from a knee injury, and his status for this game is unknown. "I feel a lot better than I did a week ago, so I'm definitely optimistic, but I'm not positive," Johnson said Tuesday. "This is a hard-working team," Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz said. "There's a lot of character on this football team, but the bottom line in this business is performance and we have to be very objective when it comes to performance."
