NFL Picks Week 10: It was a bad week for the home dogswith teams in that role going winless against the number for the first time all season. The Colts, Redskins, and Chargers were all dominated at home. The results were not all that surprising considering the current direction of those three teams and the competition they faced (Falcons, 49ers, and Packers respectively). Houston Texans vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
(+3): The Bucs are not a bad team, but they can look like it at times. They are not a good team either, but they can play like one on occasion. Typically they find a way to scratch out a win or turn in a respectable performance when their backs are against the wall. Make no mistake, their backs are against the wall this weekend. Atlanta holds a one game lead over Tampa in the NFC South and the Falcons appear to be building steam, having won three straight games. The division leading Saints, who own a two game lead on the Bucs, are, without question, the best team in South. If Josh Freeman and company hope to keep up, they need a confidence boosting performance against a surging Texans team.
Baltimore Ravens vs Seattle Seahawks (+6.5): Yes, the Ravens are a far superior team to the Seahawks, but this is a perfect letdown spot for John Harbaugh's squad. Baltimore is coming off an emotional win at Pittsburgh and now it has to get up for a cross-country flight to Seattle to play a team that does little or nothing to stir excitement. The Seahawks are 1-2 at home this season, but they were competitive in all three games with the exception of a turnover laden 34-12 loss to Cincinnati. The Ravens will find a way to clip Seattle, but don't be shocked if Pete Carroll's crew finds a way to keep this thing close…back door or otherwise.
