Atlanta managed just 290 total yards in the win and Ryan had his worst outing of the season, completing just 18-of-36 passes for 205 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions (62.8 passer rating).
The win brought the Falcons road record to an impressive 4-2 on the year. Atlanta is averaging 22.5 points per game away from home, a full five points under its average at the Georgia Dome (28.1).
Carolina lost its sixth straight game last Sunday to fall to a league worst 1-11 on the season. The Panthers jumped out to a 14-0 second quarter lead over the Seahawks, but Seattle scored 31 unanswered points to take home the easy win.
Carolina's abysmal offense racked up 283 total yards while rookie quarterback Jimmy Clausen completed 18-of-34 passes for 169 yards and one interception. Clausen, who has played in eight games this year, has thrown just one touchdown to six interceptions and his 55.3 passer rating is worst among qualifying quarterbacks (must throw at least 14 passes per game).
Carolina has won two in a row over Atlanta in Charlotte, including last year's 28-19 victory. The score between these two rivals has gone under the total in eight of their last 10 meetings.
