NFL Picks: Buffalo Bills vs Kansas City Chiefs NFL Betting Odds Week 14

NFL Picks: Buffalo Bills vs Kansas City Chiefs NFL Betting Odds Week 14: Two teams with plenty of issues to resolve will square off in the NFL Betting Odds Week 14, as the last place (4-8) Buffalo Bills [-2] pay a visit to the woeful, sports betting odds underdog (3-9) Kansas City Chiefs [+2]. This AFC battle has a scheduled opening kickoff slated for 1:05 PM ET (10 AM PT) live from Arrowhead Stadium on CBS Sports.

The last time these teams faced each other dates back to Week 12 of last season, when the Bills offense ignited for 54 points, in a 23-point victory. Even though they’ve split their last six meetings, Buffalo leads the overall series 22-17-1. According to NFL Odds makers at BETUS.com, the estimated OVER/UNDER for this Buffalo Bills vs Kansas City Chiefs Week 14 contest is set at a combined total of 37½ points scored.

For the visiting Bills, their recent fourth quarter mistakes have basically left them with no hopes of getting into the playoffs. In the final stanza, Buffalo has been outscored 112-67 this season. Furthermore, seven of the Bills’ last eight loses have come by either leading, tied, or within one score going into the 4th quarter.

"That's been our theme all year," safety Donte Whitner said. "Everybody's frustrated. The fans are frustrated. It all falls on our shoulders. We have to go out there and put a good product on the football field and bring wins home. And we're not doing that."

The Chiefs haven’t had much success either this season. Coming in with a running game that’s ranked 29th in the league in yards per attempt (3.7), KC’s ineffectiveness on the offensive side of the ball has been its demise. The Chiefs come into this game ranked 30th overall in total yards per game with 265.6. This was once again present in last week’s 44-13 loss to the Broncos.

Even though Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel was benched in the fourth quarter last week, he is expected to remain the starter. "I'm going to play the guys who give us the best chance to win and Matt is one of those guys right now," coach Todd Haley said.

Currently, Cassel’s passer rating (72.3) ranks 26th in the league, as one has to believe this is not what KC had in mind when signing him in the offseason. "In my opinion, the experience he had to go through in coming out of the game and watching his backup play is more important than actually being in there for that last quarter," Haley said.
