The Redskins and Cowboys meet for the second time this season on Sunday, but unlike their season opening clash in Washington, this week's meeting is of little consequence. Both squads have been eliminated from playoff contention and are just playing for pride at this point. Kickoff between the two bitter rivals is scheduled for 1:00pm ET Sunday, December 19th at Cowboys Stadium. Mike Shanahan's Redskins were in the 
Wild Card mix a mere three weeks ago, but they have done their best to take themselves out of the equation dating back to week eight. Washington has lost five of its last six games, including three in a row, coming into this weekend's matchup with the Cowboys.
Washington's offense, which has been under the direction of Mike's son Kyle, has been lacking all season long; however, the club hit a new over the last four weeks. The Redskins are averaging 13.8 points per game in that stretch with their high water mark coming in a 19-16 overtime win at Tennessee.
The team did produce 399 yards in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Buccaneers, but managed to score on just two of its five trips into the red zone.
Dallas comes into Sunday's game with a worse record than the Redskins (5-8 to 4-9), but it has played a far better brand of football than its rival of late. The Cowboys are 3-2 in their last five games, and have yet to score fewer than 27 points since Jason Garrett assumed the head coaching duties.
Dallas fell 30-27 to the division leading Eagles on Sunday, but it still racked up 22 first downs and 349 total yards, despite two interceptions from quarterback Jon Kitna.
The Cowboys have dominated this series in Dallas over the last decade, scoring an eight games to two advantage. The Redskins have kept the games close, though, covering the spread in four of their last five games in the Big D.
